How to Reheat Your Active Nutrition Pantry Frozen Meals
Our house-made frozen meals are prepared fresh with care, using quality ingredients and eco-friendly sugarcane packaging. To make sure you enjoy them at their very best, we’ve put together these simple reheating instructions.
Whether you’re short on time and using the microwave, or prefer the oven for optimal flavour and texture, following these steps will help you get the most out of every meal. If you have any questions about reheating or storing your meals, our team is always happy to help.
Step 1: Defrost
Defrosting your meal is recommended to ensure even reheating and preserve the quality of the meal:
😀 The ‘base’ is made from a natural sugarcane packaging and is microwave & oven safe.
⚠️ The lid is NOT microwave or oven safe.
🌟 We recommend defrosting the meal in the refrigerator for approx. 8–12 hours or overnight for a gradual defrost.
Step 2: Reheat
Option 1: Oven (for best texture and flavour)
Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan-forced) or 180°C (conventional).
Remove the lid and cover the base loosely with foil or baking paper to prevent drying out.
Place meal (in the sugarcane packaging) on a baking tray and heat for 20–25 minutes, or until piping hot in the centre.
Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
✅ Our base Sugarcane packaging is oven-safe up to 200°C.
Option 2: Microwave
🌟If time is short defrost in the microwave.
Remove the lid ( ⚠️ the lid is NOT microwave safe) and cover loosely with a microwave safe cover.
Use the defrost setting on your microwave for 5–10 minutes, checking halfway.
Once thawed, continue to heat on medium-high for 2–4 minutes, or until piping hot throughout.
