Hi I’m Jenni
I’m a university qualified Nutritionist, FIA certified Fitness Instructor and founder of Active Nutrition Pantry. I have always been fascinated by the relationship between the science of food and our body biochemistry. We have heard the statement ‘we are what we eat’. I'm an advocate for healthy food and lifestyle choices to influence how we feel, our mood, sense of wellbeing, body-shape and the risk of developing dietary related diseases.
Early in my career, working for a global food company in the 90’s, I soon learnt that convenience, market share and profit take precedence over consumer health and wellbeing. My life’s journey of having the pleasure of wearing many hats; mum, wife, sister, daughter, friend, employee and volunteer has created my values and passion for healthy living.
Active Nutrition was first established to empower others by sharing my nutrition knowledge, teaching the practical application of how to improve eating patterns and modifying some lifestyle habits, to last a lifetime.
In 2021 Belle joined me and we expanded our offering to provide fresh and healthy food options. In 2022 we purchased our local fruit & veg store and combined it with our plant-based store to create The Pantry in Sawtell. Pop in and say hi.
